Singita festivals were created to transform the beach into a total experience, capable of uniting art, music, and creativity in one great collective ritual.
The goal is simple and powerful: to create moments of gathering where anyone can feel part of the celebration, regardless of age, origin, or lifestyle. There are no barriers or distances, only shared worlds and a single community that gathers by the sea to share emotions, sounds, visual arts, and freedom.
Among the various events, Illumina, Desert Festival represents the most visionary spirit. For one night, the beach becomes an imaginary desert, inhabited by travelers who seem to have survived a past world. All participants are invited to dress as if they were post-apocalyptic nomads ready to celebrate rebirth in the light: light armor, gear goggles, tribal masks, wind-worn fabrics, and handcrafted accessories create a powerful aesthetic, between steampunk suggestions and ancestral spirits, becoming signs of belonging to an ephemeral community that comes to life for just one night. Stimulating creativity by proposing a dress code is a distinctive symbol of all Singita festivals, which always receive great participation.
Completing this metamorphosis is the Make-up & Hair Corner, where the body becomes a canvas on which to draw new identities.
Tribal traits that recall ancient rites, details that explode under UV light, and colors that transform faces into art. Even hair becomes part of the performance: thin braids evoking nomadic journeys, glitter, and accessories to complete the look. Everyone who passes through this space emerges transformed, part of an aesthetic army ready to illuminate the night.
The inspirations for Illumina are rooted in the imagery of international desert festivals: nomadic caravans, ancestral rituals, fire, and sand as elements of transformation. But Illumina is a world of its own, created to dissolve the boundaries between spectators and performers. The
The soundtrack accompanies this transformation with a blend of tribal sounds and percussion, ethnic melodies, and hypnotic lines guiding participants on a journey that begins at sunset and intensifies until it explodes into the night.
Illumina is not just a festival, but a collective performance.
Because the beating heart of the festival remains the music.
The sound of Illumina is an energetic mix of house and electronic music, infused with sounds from all over the world, intensifying as night falls. Over the years, the soundtrack of Illumina has been signed by Mondocane, Garon, Simone Russo, Jackit, and Leo Benassi, DJs and producers capable of creating a sound flow that knows no boundaries. Each set becomes a journey, an intertwining of electronic pulses and global atmospheres that guide the audience in a total sensory experience.
Illumina is not just a festival, but a collective performance. Here, no one remains a spectator: everyone participates, becoming part of a shared ritual. Under the stars, a people of survivors gather to celebrate resilience and the beauty of light, in a night that is not easily forgotten.
